Waterfront Retreat

This spectacular waterfront property was once part of a large estate. The old boathouse and dressing cabana were split off along with enough property to build a new house. The Bermuda based architect designed a contemporary shingle style house that complements the historic outbuildings. The boathouse was restored and the dressing cabana was transformed into a delightful party room.

New Shingle Style Summer House

This quintessential shingle style summer home was designed by a prominent Connecticut architectural firm. The house overlooks Fishers Island Sound and the owner’s favorite golf course. The unique pool house is nestled into the hillside next to the house.

Woody Retreat

Nestled into the woods of Lyme, the couple desired a primary suite on the first floor, with a good relation to the outdoors. Chris Arelt of Nautilus Architects designed the space to be … modern but not too tight. We converted the existing garage space into the reimagined space, and it works.

Hill Top Modern

Working with GOA Architects out of New Haven, this wonderfully detailed modern home was sited on top of a Hill Overlooking the Lieutenant River and Long Island sound. It is currently a work in progress, and we will add phots as the project proceeds to conclusion in the fall of 2025.

Riverview Contemporary

Located on an isolated lot over looking the CT River, this contemporary weekend house was designed for maximum light and views.

Cove Contemporary

A local architect designed this contemporary house for a successful businessman and his young family. The house is neatly built into a hillside overlooking a cove off the Connecticut River. The use of natural wood and stone combined with stucco sensitively blends the house into the lightly wooded site.

Party Barn

Nestled on the shore in Old Black Point this lovely party barn and accompanying Yoga Studio and garden shed make quite a pairing. The mass of the timbers and appeal of the voluminous space sets quite the tone. The build quality will ensure these buildings are enjoyed for some time to come.

Gothic Revival

When an international businessman returned home from a long assignment in England he desired to build a house that reminded him of the land he learned to love. The architect engaged in extensive research to create the perfect Gothic revival home located on a hill overlooking the CT River.

New Country Villa

A New York businessman purchased a roadside 1710 center chimney colonial to use as a weekend retreat. Before long he realized that the road noise was unacceptable. The house was pickup and moved over 1000 feet away from the road. The original colonial was restored and over a number of years classical architectural elements were added resulting in a magnificent country estate.

Captain Billings House

This unique 18thcentury gambrel / saltbox was once a tavern located in Salem CT. It fell upon hard times and ended up situated in the middle of an auto junkyard. The house was dismantled and reconstructed in a 35 acre preserve along with other rescued antique houses.  Much of the original fabric was saved and reused in the house.
