Perched on the scenic shoreline of Old Black Point, The Party Barn is more than just a new structure – it’s a celebration of craftsmanship, legacy, and place. Designed as a generational gathering space for a longtime client, this project brings together the historical sensibilities of HP Broom Housewright and the thoughtful design of architect Jared Sedam.
Framed using techniques reminiscent of the 1700s and 1800s, the barn is a testament to HP Broom’s enduring passion for old homes and traditional building methods. The massive timber framing, open interior volume, and custom detailing give the space both gravitas and warmth -creating a timeless environment meant to be used and enjoyed for decades to come.
Complemented by a tranquil yoga studio and charming garden shed, the structures work together to form a quiet, grounded retreat – perfectly suited to its waterfront setting. With this project, HP Broom once again proves that honoring the past is a powerful way to build for the future.
